Two prices

Pricing, and the reasoning behind it

A masterplan publishes its costings. A plan that hides its numbers is not a plan, it is a prospectus. Both figures here, £400 and £600, are printed before you ask.

The £400 Sprint and the £600 retainer floor

£400

AI Visibility Sprint, one off FIXED

Seven days. Baseline, five fixes shipped, dated re-check. Stands alone.

£600

per month, retainer floor FIXED

Month to month. Scoped up from this figure by site size, never down.

The ladder

How the two fit together

Start with the Sprint

Seven days and £400 to replace an assumption with a dated baseline. Most engagements begin here because it is the cheapest way to find out whether the bigger spend is justified.

£400 fixedFIXED

Read the Sprint scope
Continue on retainer if it is worth continuing

Monthly technical and content work, reported against Search Console. From £600 a month, month to month, with no minimum term and no notice period argument.

From £600 per monthFIXED

See the retainer work
Or stop

A good number of Sprints end at the report, and that is a legitimate outcome rather than a failed sale. You keep the baseline, the fixes and the method either way.

What the retainer actually contains

Retainer plan key
Technical The fix list worked through in priority order, monthly
Content One or two substantial pages written or rewritten each month
Local Google Business Profile work, inside scope, not billed separately
AI visibility Retrieval and consistency checks repeated, not a one off
Reporting Monthly, from Google Search Console, with what did not move stated too
Term Month to month. No minimum, no notice period clause
Who does it One person. No account manager layer between you and the work

What is not sold here

Things that are not on the price list

Guaranteed rankings, guaranteed enquiry volumes, and packages named after metals. None of the first two can be honestly promised, and the third is a way of avoiding saying what the work is.

Also absent: link buying, review generation, and any product priced by how many keywords it claims to target. Keyword counts are a billing device rather than a measure of work.

Why the prices are low for the sector

There is one person here and almost no overhead. No office, no account management layer, and no sales team whose commission has to be recovered inside your fee.

That structure is also the honest limit. I take on a small number of engagements at a time, so availability is genuinely finite rather than a scarcity tactic.

Public consultation

Common questions about what you pay

Why is the retainer a floor rather than a fixed price?

Because a five page site and a two hundred page site are not the same amount of work, and pretending otherwise means one of the two clients is being overcharged. £600 is the point below which I cannot do useful monthly work.

Is there a minimum contract term?

No. The retainer runs month to month, and if the work stops being worth the fee you should be able to stop it without arguing about a notice period.

Do you charge for the initial conversation?

No. Scoping a piece of work and telling you honestly whether it is worth doing is not billable, and never has been.

Are there extra costs on top?

Only third party costs you would own directly, such as a hosting upgrade or a paid tool licence, and those are flagged before they are incurred. My own time is inside the fee.

What happens if the work is not producing anything?

I tell you, in the monthly report, with the Search Console data next to it. Continuing to bill for work that is not moving anything is how agencies lose the trust of good clients.
